Participant Requirements

A program tailored to both evaluate and promote the benefit of high-intensity interval and strength training on quality of life of patients diagnosed with cancer.

You Are Capable.

CAPABLE is a 12-week exercise protocol designed for adult cancer patients and survivors. To be eligible you need to be age 18+, diagnosed with an invasive cancer. Metastatic cancers may exclude participation if widely metastatic to your bones or brain.

Physician approval is required from your primary care doctor or oncologist.

Regular attendance is expected, as your health permits.

If you are eligible and decide to enroll you will be asked to perform (2) tests of strength and cardiovascular fitness and to complete (3) surveys throughout the 12 week program.

  • "Seriously, If I can do this, literally anyone can! this program gave me back the strength and psychological wellbeing that cancer took away from me"

    – J.B.

  • I used to workout in my pre-sick life, and I was in a place where I was getting depressed and starting to give up. This made a big difference and I feel stronger and happier than I have in a very long time thanks to Capable."

    – S.B.

  • Without this program, I never would have realized my potential. I no longer have the attitude that 'I cannot' or "I should not" do something because I had cancer. I feel stronger than I have in many, many years and I am determined to keep getting stronger."

    – K.C.
